Kimmydonn's Choice: Both
Title:
The world was drawn in miniature on my hands. After examining them together, I slowly pulled my hands apart, widening the distance between the Americas and the older lands of the eastern hemispheres.
I turned them to face one another.
“New world, meet old world,” I said, moving to grasp my own hand. Rotating, the West came to rise over the East, and it felt as though something separated the two, some force kept my hands from coming any nearer one another.
With a long deep exhalation, I curled my fingers, wrapping them as though around a ball. As soon as I thought it, a sphere appeared in my hands, the lands masses finding their places on the globe. Light shone from my right hand, the east, and started circling around me. Shadow and color fractured away.
I held the world in my hands.
